Meet the Staff
Andrea Bethel, Director

I am excited to be directing Panache's third season. I have been involved with winter guard for 11 years now. I was the color guard director at Sherwood from 2001-2005. During my time there, we placed 3rd in Regional C and 2nd in Regional B with the highest equipment score. From 2007-2010, I was the guard instructor at Fort Osage High School. Panache is a dream of mine that I am delighted to see come true. I have been blessed with great friends who have helped with the journey of Panache.

I am blessed to have a wonderful husband who supports me in my guard career. I married Scott on June 7, 2009. I love teaching as I enter my 13th year.
Time flies! I am a 5th Grade teacher at Renaissance Academy. In the summer of 2010, I graduated from Southwest Baptist University with my Masters of Education and a 4.0! When I have a spare moment, you can find me watching movies and just relaxing at home. I have discovered the Twilight series and enjoy reading them.

My name is Elizabeth Keune (pronounced Key-Knee) and I was originally born in Kansas City, KS and raised on a small farm in rural Odessa, MO. Odessa is still my home away from home. As of 2008, my husband and I moved into the suburbs of Independence the small town of Buckner, MO where we bought our first house. My guard career all started my freshman year trying out for the "flag team" for the high school. It was 1999 and yes, they still called it a flag team :). I was certain that this "sport" was the outlet that I was looking for and continued to pursue it until I graduated in 2003. Once graduated,  I hoped on a greyhound bus and traveled north towards Dubuque, IA and marched with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps. I traveled all over the US and ending up at championships in Orlando, FL in early August. After Corps, I wanted to turn the next page in my life and teach. I came to be on staff with the Odessa High School fall/winter guards and the Odessa Middle School 8th grade fall/winter guard programs and still am to this day. I took small choreographing jobs at such places like Savannah High School and Maryville High School after high school, then took my first full time job with Raymore-Peculiar School District as their guard director. After two years with Ray-Pec I was then offered a home with the Lee's Summit School District as the head guard director for the Lee's Summit West High School Titan color guard and winter guard teams. Just this  season I was graciously offered to be on the Panache winter guard staff which I accepted warmly. People ask me how  can I do all that I do......I simply answer because It's what I love.
Rebecca(on right)-Show designer and tech
My name is Rebecca Westmoreland and I am a current student at UCM going into my sophomore year for elementary education. I was born and raised in Odessa, MO where my guard career started my 7th grade year. In my six years at Odessa I had the privilege of performing 8 times at winter guard nationals, twice as a finalist, and countless times representing the state of Missouri at Bands of America with the Odessa Band of Distinction. Since graduation I have worked with Lee’s Summit West Guard and Warrensburg High School and Middle School Guards. I am the head director for Concordia High School where I hope to start a winter program. I was honored to be asked to work on the Panache staff as the drill designer and weapons and dance technician. I am excited for the upcoming season.
